When the sun’s shining, there’s nothing better than enjoying a leisurely lunch or post-shop dinner with your mates. Need some inspo on where to eat at Dundrum Town Centre? We’ve picked out some of the best restaurants where you can sit back, relax and tuck in to some delicious food – all while catching some rays. Just don’t forget your SPF!

Douglas & Kaldi 

With its large outdoor terrace, Douglas & Kaldi is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Their summer menu is full of colour and flavour, all waiting for you to get stuck into!  Try their Warm Goat’s Cheese & Fig Salad – it’s a vibrant medley of fresh ingredients, including caramelised figs, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, beetroot and walnuts. Want something a little heartier? Dive into their Organic Falafel Burger. It’s served with a matcha bap, sliced avocado, cos lettuce, gherkins and a side of chips and chilli jam. 

L’Officina by Dunne & Crescenzi 

Ready for a little break from the shops? With views overlooking Mill Pond and the fountain on Town Square, L’Officina is a great spot for a little relaxation. Grab a table and watch the world go by as you lose yourself in their Italian-inspired menu.  If you’re looking for a vegetarian dish, the La Raccolta Dell’Orto is one not to miss. With grilled courgettes, peppers and sun-dried and garlic tomatoes, it’s packed with colourful and seasonal ingredients.  Meat lovers can indulge in the classic Tagliatelle. A staple on any Italian menu, this particular dish is made with slow cooked Ragu using McLoughlin’s Irish beef. 

The Counter

Head down Pembroke District and you’ll find loads of restaurants with outdoor seating –from Zizzi and Nandos. You’ll also find The Counter, who rustle up some delicious summery salads, alongside their endless burger options.  Try the Mediterranean Bowl – it’s packed with fresh ingredients like all-natural ground turkey, feta, cucumber and pepperoncinis. If you prefer fish then give the Grilled Mahi Mahi a go – it’s served with a medley of quinoa, green cabbage and marinated artichokes.

Café Zest 

If you’re spending the day shopping with the family, then Café Zest is a great spot for a little mid-shop feasting. The terrace is situated on level 3 of House of Fraser and boasts spectacular views overlooking south Dublin.  They pride themselves on hearty and tasty food using the highest quality Irish ingredients, and also have a specialised organic baby food menu. For a beautiful summer dish, try the Crab Cakes – they’re made using claw meat and chopped prawns, and are served with cucumber, red onion and a sweet chilli salad.  Or how does their Rainbow beetroot and goats cheese salad sound? Made with a walnut crumb, rocket and tangy pomegranate vinaigrette, this refreshing dish can include chicken or falafel, should you fancy it.

The Candlelight Bar 

Just above Siam Thai is The Candlelight Bar – a modern speakeasy, which has a relaxing outdoor seating area with views across Town Square and down towards Pembroke. It’s perfect for a little outdoor dining! Their Laab Gai – an aromatic ground Thai chicken salad with a medley of vibrant ingredients like chilli, spring onions and shallots – is a great dish for a light bite.  Or if you’re vegetarian then try their Vegetable Spring Rolls made with bean vermicelli, water chestnuts, cabbage, carrots and Thai herbs.
