Ladies' Day at Stena Line Dublin Horse Show 2019
One of the most hotly contested competitions of the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping Nations CupTM Stena Line Dublin Horse Show took place on the 8th August, with Ann Marie Dunning from Newbridge, Co. Kildare taking the title of ‘best dressed’ at the Dundrum Town Centre Ladies’ Day. After listening to close to 400 ladies talk through their outfit on stage in front of a large RDS crowd, Ms Dunning was selected by judges Bairbre Power (Irish Independent) and Darren Kennedy (stylist, TV presenter and entrepreneur) and was presented with a gift card worth €10,000 for Dundrum Town Centre. Ann Marie impressed judges with her take on Ladies Day fashion by presenting in a white column dress with exaggerated monochrome bow detail to the front and back with a simple chignon dressed with an oversized black bow.
This was our fifth year sponsoring Ladies’ Day and it was one of the most hotly contested yet. We were lucky to have beautiful blue skies and sunshine on the day; guests in the Dundrum Town Centre suite flooded the balcony to make the most of the sunshine.
Judge Bairbre Power noted "what was most striking was the ingenuity of a lot of the competitors who were upcycling their wardrobe favourites, slicing and dicing to create new looks and hats. Ann Marie was a winner the moment I saw her”
Don Nugent, General Manager at Dundrum Town Centre said on the day: “Since 2015, Dundrum Town Centre Ladies’ Day has been the ultimate date in Ireland’s fashion and social calendar, showcasing the glamour, originality and elegance of Irish style. Today is a testament to that Irish style and, it’s been a wonderful day for all in attendance.”
