Educogym
Educogym is running now the ’12-week autumn’ challenge…just to get in time before Christmas.

Hi everyone,
I’m back with more good news. After completing 8 weeks with Educogym and the latest measurements, my trainer told me we are on the good track. My weight is now 193.5 lbs from 210 lbs initially ( 27.5 lbs down). Also the chest measurement is – 2.75 inch, arms -1.25 inch , waist -4.75 inch , hips -3.75 inch , thighs -2 inch and calf -1.25 inch. My body fat is -3.3% and the fat loss is -18.65 lbs.
I am very happy about the new measurements and they represent a big motivation to me for the following weeks. The training programme is changed again to suit “the new me”. It is a bit harder now but I know it’s for my own benefit. I practice now 4-5 times a week and I follow the same diet and I feel great.
I was very happy to see that my clothes were too large for me and I now have new clothes size 16-18 (and that’s from size 22!!). I gave away the old clothes and I don’t want to see them again ever!!!
The latest Dundrum Town Centre Staff Newsletter told everybody about my training with Educogym and they were all impressed about my achievements. They are all happy about my new look which makes me very confident to continue the good training.
On the other hand we had the Educogym Autumn Challenge Christmas party on the 14th of December , a great evening out where many people were present from Dundrum, Blackrock and Docklands Educo gym. A total of 600 lbs weight were lost from all participants from the start of the training which is a very good performance. I was very happy for everyone and the best performers were named and rewarded by Educogym.

Hi all,
I am back with some news!
Last week I continued with my exercises and my diet. My trainer James measured me again and I was very happy with the results. Regarding the weight from 221 lbs I got to 197 lbs which means I succeeded to lose 24 lbs!! My body waist measurements improved too, from 40.25 inches I got down to 36 inches, -4.25 inches! And my body fat went from 44.6% to 42.3%. I have to say I am very happy with my latest results as I am a good track to achieve my goals by Christmas! And my daughter tells me I’m fading away
I changed the types of exercises and how I as not finding them so difficult anymore I am thinking positive and I am motivated to lose more weight. Seeing every week the results is giving me the mental boost to keep me going which could be easily lost by boring and tiring exercises!
I am sticking to my diet and my trainer James monitors everything closely. I am following this diet since I started with educogym and even though now from time to time is more tempting, I am doing my best to stay away from sweets and my cravings (we all get them from time to time!) But I am now used to my “routine” – both diet and exercise and I can see that I will follow it up even after completing the 12-weeks challenge…

Hi everyone,
I’m back with great news. After a super busy week at work last week when unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to train, I’m back to the gym now every day this week! I felt a bit tired after the first exercise, (after a week), but the support from my trainer was extraordinary as he kept encouraging me.
Now I’m very excited about my new diet consisting of fruits, salads and protein. This diet is easy to follow and I have a large variety of choices. I feel no hunger, on the contrary, and many times I only choose to drink low fat milk with PRO-FEMME (a protein powder) for lunch feeling my stomach full but not heavy.
About my exercises for this week: my trainer James increased them with some new ones for every part of my body. I can tell that I find these new exercises comfortable and not heavy to do even that now I have to work more on my muscles. As I said the support from my trainer is important to me because he makes me feel better, stronger, more animated and even younger than I am!! I don’t feel tired anymore, I feel lighter and energized.
I still stay away from alcohol, sweets and fast food, but that’s not a problem. I don’t have any more cravings for these bad boys either!
I can’t wait until next week’s measurements as I am sure I will have a big surprise for James and, most importantly, myself.
A big thank you for all of you who read my blog…I really recommend everybody to go to Educogym, for your own better feeling about yourself and a healthier way of life!

Hi all,
Last week was the end of my second week in Educogym. I already see the results of my training and the body measurements done are very positive. I lost 16 lbs in weight (yey!) and all other measurements look like this:
Both arms = -0.75 inch
Chest = -1 inch
Waist = -3 inches (!!!)
Hips = -1.5 inch
Thigh right = -0.75 inch
Thigh left = -1.75 inch
Calves = -0.5 inch
I feel great and I enjoy the training sessions every day. I do not feel tired anymore and I feel a lot more energetic. James, my trainer gave me another week full fat diet following the certificate of achievement. Apparently it’s working! This diet is very convenient for me and it is not hard to follow the advices, not at all! I appreciate everything what my trainer said and I am trying to stick to the rules. I do not miss the fizzy drinks, alcohol or sweets at all, though I thought I would!! Everything is going great and I am extremely happy so far with my progress.
I am looking forward to the next measurement taking and I hope to become more fit.
All my friends and colleagues in work can see now the changes and they are all happy for me and all the time they are very supportive. I recommend everybody to join the educogym programme for healthy living. It already made such a huge difference for me!
As you know, Dundrum Town Centre was flooded on Monday and we are still doing our best to get it back to its perfect condition so my training was replaced by other physical activity (running around helpingJ) but I will be back in educogym shortly and will hopefully some more news for you!

Hi everyone,
My name is Alex and I live in Dublin. I am 48 years old and I feel very unhappy because of my weight.
Two years ago I had an operation and after that, because of the hormonal treatment, I started to put on weight every month. I started to feel tired and every 3-4 months I had to change my clothes – for bigger sizes. From size 14 I eventually ended up at size 22. I also had chest and joints pain and I couldn’t even breathe properly.
I didn’t do anything regarding my weight until one day when I collapsed in our staff kitchen. I went to see the doctor and I was told I have to lose weight to avoid further health problems.
I have been on diet and lose some weight by eating healthier but it still wasn’t enough. That was when I decided to go and look for a professional help and support in my effort.
I work in Dundrum Town Centre and Educogym located there on Level 2 are running a 12-week autumn challenge – Lose your weight in time for Christmas. I thought that would be brilliant, to achieve my former size 14 in about 3 months. I would look better but, more importantly, feel much better about myself and healthier!
So I went…on the 4th of October I had an appointment for a consultation with the personal trainer. I met educogym Manager and lead trainer, James (Fleming) for the start-up chat and I had all my measurements taken. They were as follows:
Weight – 221 lbs
Arms – 17 inches
Chest – 45.5 inches
Waist – 40.25 inches
Hips – 48 inches
Thighs – 29.5 inches
Calves – 21 inches
My body fat percentage was 44.6%. So quite a sturdy starting point!!
I was given a 12-days kick-start programme with all breakfast, lunch and dinner options based on this high-fat diet.
The next day, I started the gym training. I thought it was going to be a very hard job and an exhausting exercise. But my motivation was stronger!
I went to the gym and I met the educogym trainer, he called me in and told me that on the first day we will get the legs to exercise. He showed me the machine and explained very clearly each of the exercises, importance of correct breathing and gave me a big support while exercising. I spent 20 minutes working out and, believe or not, I found it very enjoyable! At the end I had some more abdomen exercises and that was! 20 minutes that’s all what it took!
The next day I had a chest and back exercise on the plan and I again had a great support in my trainer, he was watching me closely to make sure I do the exercise right.
Third in the row was a work-out for arms and shoulders. James assured me that everything was going well with the exercise in general and I’m doing very well. Myself I didn’t find the training very hard and the diet was actually easy to follow. It took some time for preparation but I still could eat a lot of different and yummy things!
After 6 days I was measured again and I was very happy to see the good results. From 221 lbs I went down to 210 lbs and the chest measure was 2 inches lower (from 45.5 inches I went to 43.5 inches). James said it was a good improvement and encouraged me to keep up the good work.
I was feeling better already, my energy increased and I had a general sense of well-being.
Now I’m continuing for the next 6 days with the same diet and exercises and I hope after the next 6 days my measurements will be lower again…so fingers crossed!!
From now till Christmas, I will be uploading a weekly blog here with details of my progress with educogym Dundrum Town Centre, so look forward to keeping you all updated. Wish me luck!
