Spring into Colour
A|wear launches Spring Summer ‘12
Think bold & bright colours, prints galore & softer embellished styling as A|wear, Ireland’s favourite highstreet brand kick-starts the new season covering every style angle. Spring at A|wear is reflected in two key trends, New Nautical & Soft Focus. New Nautical represents a clean, fun & feminine take on the nautical trend that crops up every spring season while Soft Focus in contrast is much more romantic with lots of floaty & feminine embellished pieces in a warm nude colour palette, perfect for Easter time dressing. Summer ’12 at A|wear sees the arrival of colour with a bang as two key trends come to the forefront, Colour Couture & Exotica. Colour Couture focuses on bold brights & block technicolours in shades of hot pink & yellow while Exotica is inspired by all things luxe with both subtle & strong animal prints mixed in with bold printed florals.
New Nautical
Think mixed up conversational style prints paired with clean silhouettes as New Nautical comes to the forefront as the key story for early spring. Traditional stripes remain a must and are seen across fitted blazers, a-line style dresses and blouses. Palazzo pants appear in nautical shades of navy & royal blue making the perfect addition to update your spring work wardrobe. Denim is anchored by shades of red, blue and green with navy based floral printed ankle grazers also appearing later in the season. Accessories come in every shape and size from small style clutches to oversized shoppers all anchored by the nautical colour palette of green red and blue with a hint of yellow seen throughout.
Soft Focus
For Soft Focus, tailoring is soft & luxe while the colour palette remains neutral with hints of snake, leopard and floral prints seen throughout the collection. For Easter timing, a nod to the 1920’s is clearly visible taking inspiration from the Great Gatsby with beautiful embellished pieces including the must have all over sequin top, embellished scalloped cami and sequin chiffon dress standing out as the real season winners. Separates are key to this look as the peg leg trouser in a soft beige, peachy maxi skirts and the new fashion obsession, the stepped hem skirt come to the forefront. Pair them up with simple knits or a printed jersey top for an easy spring casual look.
Colour Couture
The trend so obviously inspired by all things colourful, think bold brights, block technicolour’s & print geometrics. Silhouettes are simple & structured with smart separates for daytime and glam dresses by night. Summer ’12 sees the arrival of Exotica just in time for summer holiday wardrobe shopping. The glamorous side to the trend consists of dark based printed skirts, exotic style floral skater minis and bold printed dresses while the casual holiday side to the trend centres on denim mixed with bold printed tees or palazzo style trousers paired with chiffon print blouses. Accessories are a must have to this look & the more the better with lots of oversized bangles & chunky style necklaces.
